She is the woman who remembers everything.

The appointments.
The birthdays.
The grocery list.
The permission slips.
The deadlines.
The passwords.

She gets the kids where they need to go.

She shows up to work.

She answers the text.

She makes dinner.

She says, "I’m fine."

And sometimes, when the house is finally quiet, she wonders when she became so good at taking care of everyone else that she forgot to ask herself what she wanted.
